The Athenaeum of Ohio/Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Cincinnati is seeking a proven culinary professional with strong management and interpersonal skills to fill the key role of Assistant Manager in the Refectory. This is a full-time salaried position with excellent benefits.
Responsibilities include planning and preparing daily meals for our community of over 100 students, faculty, and staff. Providing a variety of fresh, appetizing, and nutritious options. Maintaining a clean and healthy kitchen/dining environment. Assisting with inventory, managing food costs, and ensuring quality control. Preparing and serving meals to guests at special events.
Qualifications include knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures. A minimum of 2 years in a food prep/service role. Excellent customer service skills. Physical capability (able to lift up to 40 pounds, prolonged standing). Formal culinary training and ServSafe Certification is a plus.
