SUMMARY:Proven Practices to Engage K-12 English Learners in Productive Lesson Interactions
DESCRIPTION:English 3D: Orchestrating classroom interactions that significantly improve an English learner’s\nlanguage and literacy skills is both a science and an art. Simply providing curriculum-aligned\nquestions and opportunities to “turn and talk” with second-language peers rarely yields impressive\nresults. English learners at every age and English proficiency level serve to gain from informed\nguidance in language to achieve a range of communicative goals within lesson interactions\,\nfrom making and supporting points to comparing and building upon others’ ideas. \nIn this session Dr. Kinsella draws on her extensive experience serving K–12 English learners.\nDetailing the language demands posed by K–12 scholarly interactions\, Dr. Kinsella will share\nevidence-based principles and classroom tested guidance for helping teachers engage\nwith all students and ensure they become more agile and confident communicators. \nSpace is Limited!    Click Here\nThursday\, May 16\nRSVP Code V-C051624
