SUMMARY:Response to Intervention at Work
DESCRIPTION:Proven techniques to close learning gaps\nRTI is not a series of implementation steps to cross off on a list\, but a way of thinking about how educators can ensure each child receives the time and support needed to achieve success. This virtual workshop is designed for school teams who have started RTI but are still refining processes or experiencing challenges. The presenter has worked with hundreds of schools throughout North America and can help your school make RTI efficient\, effective\, and equitable. RTI work must be divided between collaborative teacher teams and two schoolwide teams (a leadership team and an intervention team). Together\, the entire school assumes responsibility for the learning of every student. \nAs an active virtual participant\, you will learn why bureaucratic\, paperwork-heavy\, compliance-oriented\, test-score-driven approaches fail\, and then discover how to create an RTI model that works. Acquire four essential guiding principles—collective responsibility\, concentrated instruction\, convergent assessment\, and certain access—and experience a simple process for bringing these principles to life in your school. \n\nDrive implementation using the four guiding principles.\nCreate a school leadership team to steer the shift to a culture of collective responsibility.\nUtilize collaborative teacher teams to define essential learnings.\nCreate a toolbox of effective interventions.\nBuild a schoolwide intervention team to address complex issues such as motivation\, attendance\, and behavior.\n\nRegister

SUMMARY:New Teacher Preparedness for Long-Term Success Virtual Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The joys and pains of starting a teaching career during this unique moment in history are especially profound. In this highly interactive workshop\, Dr. Tina H. Boogren offers beginning teachers a road map for navigating their crucial first years in the classroom\, whether they’re working with students in person\, virtually\, or via blended learning. \nDesigned for teachers in the early stages of their careers\, as well as mentors\, coaches\, and supervisors\, this two-day training identifies six phases every beginning teacher goes through\, offering crucial advice and strategies for each\, pertinent to today’s unique challenges. Participants will return to their schools (or home classrooms) with a yearlong action plan centered around research-based instructional and self-care practices that are essential to not just surviving\, but thriving. \n\nExplore the six phases of beginning teachers—(1) anticipation\, (2) survival\, (3) disillusionment\, (4)\, rejuvenation\, (5) reflection\, and (6) second anticipation—and how the pandemic has impacted each phase.\nUnderstand the feelings and challenges associated with each phase.\nDiscover practical strategies for instruction\, classroom management\, and relationship-building\, tailored to various learning environments.\nLearn how to practice self-care to avoid early career burnout that so often leads to teachers changing careers.\nDevelop a plan for decreasing stress and increasing student achievement.\n\nRegister
