DESCRIPTION:Have you ever found an old shoebox under your grandparents’ bed or in their attic? We can enter and enrich the stories of our families through artifacts like these. The same is true of the histories we teach our students. \nIn this free webinar\, we will explore the significance of filling shoeboxes for our students to help them remember the stories of their homeland\, world\, and faith. \nAbout the Presenter\nErick Allen is a faculty member of the Institute for Catholic Liberal Education. A Catholic convert who discovered the richness of a liberal arts education while in graduate school\, he later assisted his public charter school in its transition to a more classical model of education. Erick has more than 20 years of teaching experience in subjects ranging from Latin to ESL and settings ranging from middle school to law enforcement.
