DESCRIPTION:This Skills for Disagreeing Better is a free workshop with Braver Angels that helps participants understand the values and concerns of those who differ from them politically and teaches essential skills for communicating across differences and finding common ground. \nIn this polarized time\, we lack basic understanding of why people on the other political side hold their beliefs. We don’t see them as they see themselves–their core values and central concerns–but instead as we choose to see them. DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, August 25\, the 7th annual Cincinnati Festival of Faiths will be held at the Cintas Center on XU’s campus from 12-5pm. EquaSion\, one of Cincinnati’s preeminent interfaith organizations\, hosts this powerful event which is the city’s largest interfaith celebration. It’s a gathering of 34 faith traditions and 13 world religions from the Greater Cincinnati area. It’s an exhibition with great food and entertainment\, and admission is free.
