SUMMARY:40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil
DESCRIPTION:Through prayer and fasting\, peaceful vigils and community outreach\, 40 Days for Life has inspired 1\,000\,000 volunteers to help end the injustice of abortion in their local communities.  With God’s help\, over 13 years\, in 900 cities across 63 nations\, 18\,000 babies have been saved\, 211 abortion workers have converted and 107 abortion centers have closed — so far!  There are two campaigns that take place in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati: one in Dayton and one in Cincinnati.  Click the location to be taken to the coordinating webpage.

SUMMARY:No More Delay:  Positive Immigration Reform Needed Today
DESCRIPTION:American Catholics have been working toward immigration reform for decades\, and it’s long overdue. The 117th Congress now has an opportunity to address immigration in a positive\, productive\, and forward-looking way. Last week\, the Senate adopted a budget resolution that paves the way for a reconciliation bill. The resolution includes instructions for the Committee on the Judiciary to draft language providing “lawful permanent status for qualified immigrants.” Reconciliation only requires a simple majority of 51 votes in the Senate\, assuming certain other conditions are met. This was the same mechanism used to pass the American Rescue Plan in March. With the budget resolution adopted in the Senate—which the House will also have to adopt in the coming weeks—Senate committees can now begin drafting the text of the budget reconciliation bill itself. \n  \nClick here for more information and to Take Action! \n

DESCRIPTION:It’s important to remember that your goal isn’t to become a professional learning community. The goal is to improve the professional practice of every adult and every team in your school\, and by doing so\, the school will improve student learning—kid by kid\, skill by skill. Janel Keating leads the work of high-performing PLC at Work® teams. This two-day virtual workshop will highlight what leaders and teams do to improve their professional practice\, in an effort to help more students learn at higher levels. \nUsing videos of elementary and secondary teams doing the work\, Janel will share practical tools coupled with specific leadership practices that will positively impact both student and adult learning. She will provide critical next steps for participants to take back to their schools and districts to effectively do the right work at the right time in the right way for the right reasons.
