SUMMARY:Beyond Test Anxiety: Strategies to Reduce Anxiety for Teachers and Students
DESCRIPTION:While students are battling unprecedented levels of anxiety\, bullying\, and depression\, educators are facing major challenges curricula alone can’t solve. Teachers are getting burned out due to the pressures of standardized testing\, lack of time to plan and teach\, overcrowded classrooms\, personal matters\, and student issues that originate from outside of school. In this interactive edWebinar with a classroom teacher and a former school counselor\, attendees will learn to:\n\n\nIdentify causes and effects of student and teacher anxiety\nSelect strategies to help students reduce test anxiety\nPractice anxiety-reducing techniques for themselves\n\n\nWe believe that the single greatest influence in the classroom is the teacher. Unfortunately\, their innate ability to inspire and motivate their students sometimes comes at the expense of their own well-being. Therefore\, reducing anxiety for teachers and students is critical to classroom success. Join us in this session to tackle both!\n\n\n\nREGISTER

SUMMARY:Middle Grade Teacher Virtual Book Club with Franki Sibberson
DESCRIPTION:Are you a teacher of grades 3-6 who loves to find new books for your students to enjoy? Join other middle grade teachers virtually to read and discuss children’s books. We’ll also spend time sharing a variety of other books that we’ve discovered for our classrooms. Questions about the content? Please contact Jill Reinhart\, Jill.Reinhart@escco.org. SUMMARY:7 Strategies for Using Summer as a Springboard to a Successful Fall
DESCRIPTION:Join this edWebinar as we reimagine summer and how to use it as an indispensable launchpad for the next school year rather than a disconnected time to play catch-up from the previous year. We’ll share essential\, practical strategies from district leadership that teachers and administrators can use in their own communities.\n\nWhat would the first weeks of fall look like if summer school helped families establish confidence and feel supported? The untapped potential in summer school is an opportunity to build strong family-school partnerships\, conduct a soft launch of new processes\, tools\, and routines\, and pre-teach standards for the upcoming grade. It’s a time to lay the groundwork with families early to have a positive and effective start to the school year.\n\nThis edWebinar will be of interest to K-12 teachers\, school and district leaders\, and education technology leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.    Learn more
