DESCRIPTION:REGISTER \nThis new institute will focus on how leadership works best for instructional leaders by emphasizing the essential mindframes and research to effectively lead teaching\, learning and change.  This 3 pronged approach will help participants refine current practices to glean the greatest learning outcomes for both staff and students and make the most of the precious time they spend together. About the Presenters: \nDouglas Fisher \nDouglas Fisher\, Ph.D.\, is a Professor of Educational Leadership at San Diego State University and a teacher leader at Health Sciences High and Middle College. Previously\, Douglas was an early intervention teacher and elementary school educator. Doug loves being an educator and hopes to share that passion with others. \nNancy Frey \nNancy Frey\, Ph.D.\, is a Professor in Educational Leadership at San Diego State and a teacher leader at Health Sciences High and Middle College. She is a member of the International Literacy Association’s Literacy Research Panel. Nancy is a credentialed special educator\, reading specialist\, and administrator in California and learns from teachers and students every day \nCathy Lassiter \nCathy Lassiter\, Ed.D.\, is an international consultant with over 35 years of combined experience as a public-school teacher\, principal\, central office administrator\, and consultant. Her areas of expertise are in Visible Learning\, Teacher Clarity\, and all aspect of school leadership.  \nDominique Smith \nDominique Smith\, Ed.D. is Chief of Educational Services and Teacher Support at Health Sciences High and Middle College. He is passionate about creating school cultures that honor students and build their confidence and competence. Smith’s primary area of research and instruction focuses on restorative practices\, classroom management\, growth mindset\, and the culture of achievement.
