SUMMARY:Curriculum and Instruction Professional Learning and Leadership - Northern Schools
DESCRIPTION:Curriculum (9:00-11:30) \nLeading Learning: An Instructional Leadership Framework for Student Success \nHigh-quality Tier I instruction begins with strong instructional leadership. This session introduces The Four Questions of Instructional Leadership\, a practical framework that principals can use to guide instructional leadership decisions\, classroom observations\, instructional coaching\, collaborative planning\, and school improvement efforts. \nParticipants will explore four essential questions that serve as the foundation for effective instructional leadership. \nUsing this framework\, principals will examine how the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Course of Study and its accompanying resources including priority standards\, proficiency scales\, instructional planning guides\, curriculum maps\, common assessments\, and learning standards checklists work together as a cohesive instructional system that supports high-quality\, standards-based teaching and learning. Future sessions will take a deeper dive into each question and the resources that support it. \nPrincipals will leave with a practical instructional leadership framework and actionable strategies for supporting teachers\, strengthening Tier I instruction\, and building systems that promote continuous improvement and student success. \nAssessment (12:30-3:00) \nSession Content: \nYour Data Has a Story: Understanding Your School Through Demographic\, Perception & Process Data \nNumbers alone rarely tell the whole story. This session explores how demographic\, perception\, and school process data help leaders understand the context behind student outcomes. Participants will learn how enrollment trends\, attendance\, stakeholder feedback\, instructional practices\, and organizational systems influence school performance. Using guided protocols\, leaders will begin identifying patterns and asking better questions that move beyond assumptions toward root cause analysis. \n  \nRSVP HERE
