Grades K-8: Substitute Teachers: As needed/Hours: 7:30am-3:15pm

Responsibilities:
– Maintain a positive learning environment by managing student behavior and ensuring classroom rules are followed.
– Follow the lesson plans left by the regular teacher, effectively delivering instruction and facilitating activities.
– Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and lunch/recess to ensure safety and order.
– Take and record student attendance, noting any absences or issues.
– Assist students who may need additional help or clarification of assignments.
Qualifications:
– Education: Minimum of a high school diploma
– Teaching Certification: A valid teaching license or substitute teaching permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education and Welfare.
– Experience: Prior experience working with children or in educational settings is beneficial.  This can include tutoring, volunteering, or previous teaching roles.
– Communcation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with students and staff.
– Classroom Management: Ability to manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
– Adaptability: Flexibility to work in different classrooms and adapt to various teaching styles and subjects.
– Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to keep track of lesson plans, attendance, and classroom activities.
– Interpersonal Skills: Good rapport-building skills to connect with students and staff.
– Background Check: Completion of a criminal background check is typically required to ensure student safety.
– Professionalism: A commitment to professional conduct, including punctuality and respect for school policies and procedures.
