Dean of Students
La Salle High School is seeking a Dean of Students for the 2026-27 school year. The Dean of Students serves as a key leader in advancing the Lasallian mission by fostering a culture of brotherhood, accountability, and respect within the school community. Through visible presence, relationship-building, and collaborative leadership, the Dean of Students oversees student life, promotes meaningful student engagement, and ensures that community expectations are upheld with consistency and care. The Dean works closely with faculty, staff, and families to support the holistic formation of young men—guiding them in their growth as students, leaders, and men of character—while implementing restorative and mission-centered approaches to discipline that reinforce responsibility, integrity, and belonging within the Lasallian community.
Responsibilities
-Serve as a key member of the administrative team, advancing the Catholic and Lasallian mission while modeling the school’s core values and fostering a culture of respect, responsibility, and brotherhood.
-Provide vision and leadership for student life, developing programs and experiences that promote belonging, leadership, engagement, and personal growth for all students.
-Build strong relationships through daily presence, mentorship, and collaboration with student support teams to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
-Lead a consistent, mission-centered discipline and attendance program rooted in PBIS and restorative practices, while partnering with families to support student growth and character formation.
-Work closely with faculty and staff to ensure clear communication, consistent expectations, effective supervision, and alignment across all aspects of school life.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field preferred
-Valid (or eligible) Ohio administrative license/certification
-Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in education; prior leadership experience preferred
-Experience with student discipline, restorative practices, and/or PBIS preferred
-Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, make sound decisions, and remain calm under pressure
-Visible, energetic, and relational presence with students throughout the school day and at school events
-Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment rooted in faith and brotherhood
– Completion of Safe Parish
– Catholic preferred
