The Director of Music Ministry is a part time (average 15 hours per week), hourly position. Typical workdays are Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. The Director of Music Ministry reports to the Director of Administration. St. Therese Little Flower is a welcoming parish community that appreciates liturgical music. We have a Rodgers 3-Manual organ and a Yamaha Clavinova keyboard.

Responsibilities include:

1. Provide music for 2 masses per weekend.
2. Prepare choir and musicians to lead music at mass.
3. Plan liturgical music for all masses.
4. Coordinate music with Spanish musicians/choir on occasion.
5. Attend worship and staff meetings.
6. Provide music for funerals and weddings (optional). Additional stipend for
funerals provided.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in music, liturgical studies or related field.
2. Knowledge of Catholic liturgy.
3. Keyboard skills: electric keyboard or organ.
4. Ability to direct choirs and congregational singing.
5. Excellent inter-personal skills with an ability to work with volunteers
of various age levels.
