As the Director of X-Travaganza with St. Xavier High School, you will be tasked with the maintaining of the X-Travaganza’s reputation as one of the finest and most successful dinner auction events in the Greater Cincinnati area.
In addition, you will perform responsibilities such as:
– Identify and help recruit general chairs and aid them in recruiting the best possible chairs for the various auction committees.  Provide chairs and committees with necessary support and materials to achieve success.
– Set and maintain a timing and action calendar, by committee, with proper follow-up to ensure a proper pace of activity.  Communicates plans, goals, and results.
– Influence budget control over expenses by category.  Authorizes payment of all bills.  Oversees the collection of revenues (cash gifts, reservations, gift purchases, etc.)
– Ensure that all gift acknowledgements are mailed within one week or less.
– Works closely with gift-gathering volunteers to schedule individual parties without conflicting events; coordinates attendance of school officials at gift-gathering parties and committee meetings.
– Prepare and submit printed reports on a regular basis to the director of communications and events and the vice president for development concerning auction programs and events, including a yearly listing of goals and timetables.
– Collaborate with the director of communications in the preparation of printed materials, digital and social media, flyers and publicity articles and in communicating needs, activities and results in the St. Xavier Magazine, monthly calendar/newsletter and other publications.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
– High school degree required
– Bachelor’s degree in related discipline is preferred
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
– Community involvement in professional memberships, as required
– Ability to travel locally building relationships on behalf of St. Xavier High School
– Knowledge of information systems applicable to development, especially special events
– Knowledge and understanding of the Jesuit community is desirable
