Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, caring First Grade Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year beginning in August 2026. The ideal candidate is passionate about:

Teaching young children with patience, creativity, and joy
Creating a structured and engaging classroom environment
Supporting the academic and personal growth of every student
Building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
Contributing positively to a collaborative school community

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging daily lessons in language arts, math, science, social studies, and religion
Support the integration of character education, service, and school values into classroom routines
Establish a warm, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment
Differentiate instruction to meet a variety of student needs and learning styles
Use assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction
Maintain clear, professional communication with parents/guardians
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities
Assist with school events, meetings, and community activities

(If not Catholic) Support the school’s mission and respectfully participate in shared traditions and activities

(If Catholic) Participate actively in modeling and supporting the school’s faith-based elements

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
Valid teaching license/certification (or in process) for elementary education
Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Respect for the values and traditions of a school with a Catholic identity
