Mater Filius Queen City, a Catholic apostolic ministry serves the Archdioceses of Cincinnati, in ministering to women experiencing pregnancy who have no means of support. We offer transitional housing and welcome every expectant mother irrespective of their religious beliefs, socio-economic status, or ethnicity.
Our mission, supported and blessed by Archbishop Schnurr, is to safeguard the life of the unborn child and defend the dignity of the child’s mother, regardless of how the child was conceived. Our vision is to help expectant mothers learn about good parenting through our parenting workshops and through the education, caring and support of our volunteers of whom are mothers.
- We are looking for an Ima, a practicing Catholic woman in good standing with the Church. This is a full time, live-in position. Hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday; Saturdays and Sundays 8 am to 12 noon with one weekend off per month. A perfect opportunity for a widow or a single parent, we offer competitive compensation including room and board.
- Requirements: Parenting experience; Valid driver’s license; Strong organizational skills; Ability to offer unconditional love and empathy while teaching by word and example with integrity, honesty, and charity.
