Grades K-8: Intervention Specialist/Full-Time: St. Veronica Catholic School is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and mission-driven full-time Intervention Specialist for the 2025-2026 academic year. This position involves providing targeted academic and behavioral support to students in grades K-8 with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with classroom teachers, families, and school staff to support student growth and ensure equitable access to the curriculum in a faith-based inclusive educational setting.
Candidates are not required to be Catholic but must respect and uphold the Catholic faith and values that are integral to the culture and mission of St. Veronica School.
Qualifications:
– Hold a valid Intervention Specialist license in the State of Ohio or be eligible for licensure
– Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
– Experience supporting students with special needs in a K–8 setting preferred
– Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
– Ability to differentiate instruction and use data to drive academic intervention
– Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skill
– Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and faith-centered learning environment
– Alignment with the mission and values of St. Veronica Catholic School
Responsibilities:
– Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students in grades K–8 with identified learning needs
– Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Student Service Plans (SSPs)
– Conduct assessments and use data to monitor student progress and inform instruction
– Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and support differentiated instruction
– Communicate regularly with parents, support staff, and administration to support student success
– Maintain compliance with state and diocesan special education requirements
– Serve as a key member of the school’s student support and intervention team
– Participate fully in school events, staff meetings, professional development, and Catholic school life
