About St. Veronica School: St. Veronica School is a vibrant, community-focused educational institution dedicated to fostering a love for learning among our students.  Our library is a key resource for enhancing literacy, promoting research skills, and providing a welcoming space for students to explore and discover.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Long-Term Substitute Librarian to join our team from December 2 – January 24.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature and the ability to engage and inspire students.  Eligible candidates would have the opportunity to fill future substitute positions for the remainder of the year.
Responsibilities:
– Manage daily library operations, including checking in/out books and maintaining library organization.
– Assist students with research, reading recommendations, and using library resources effectively.
– Plan and implement engaging library programs and activities that promote literacy and a love of reading.
– Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom instruction.
– Maintain an updated inventory of library materials and assist in selecting new books and resources.
– Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students and staff.
Qualifications:
– Ohio Teaching License of Substitute License.
– Previous experience working in a school library or similar environment is a plus.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Proficient in using technology.
– Willingness to learn library management software.
