Long-Term Substitute Math Teacher
Subjects: Algebra I, Algebra II, Fundamentals of College Algebra, and Calculus
Duration: Late April 2025 – May 26, 2025
Overview: Mercy McAuley High School is seeking a long-term substitute math teacher. Rooted in the values of Mercy, our school is committed to fostering academic excellence, compassion, and service to others.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Algebra I, Algebra II, Fundamentals of College, Algebra, and Calculus, reflecting Mercy values of excellence and care.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and their families to promote growth and success.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate the Mercy charism into the classroom and school community.
• Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and communications.
• Uphold school policies and standards for academic and professional conduct.
• Participate in school events, prayer, and service activities that foster the Mercy tradition.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid teaching license or certification in Ohio.
• Experience teaching high school mathematics, including advanced coursework (preferred).
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to the mission and values of Mercy Education, including service, justice, and hospitality.
