Maintenance Position/Full-Time: Archbishop Alter High School announces an immediate open maintenance position.  The position is 40 hours per week. The hours of employment will be from 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Monday -Friday.

The position requires the following skills/requirements:

• Candidate will have a background of experience in handling all types of maintenance work that is required to ensure the effective and efficient operation of school buildings and grounds
• Candidate will have the ability to operate and maintain equipment associated with school buildings and grounds.
• Candidate must have the ability to maintain the plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems of the school buildings.
• Candidate must have the ability to work on a ladder, scaffold, or personal lift.
• Candidate must be able to work cooperatively with fellow employees and maintain a friendly, accommodating demeanor with school personnel and community.
• Candidate must have a strong attendance record.
• Candidate must be motivated and capable of completing assigned tasks.
• Candidate must have the ability to follow directions and be flexible to changes in the daily routine.
• Candidate must be available for emergency situations, such as power outages, floods, or snow removal at any hour of the day.
• Candidate must have an active and up to date Child Protection account and is responsible for completing the requirements of this program.
• Candidate will project a neat, personable, and effective image when performing the duties of the position.
• Candidate will report directly to the Facilities Director of Archbishop Alter High School for duties and responsibilities daily. These duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to routine daily maintenance and custodial work required by the Facilities Director, Principal, and the Administration.
• The position will have a 90-day probationary period.
