Grades K-8: Physical Education Teacher/Part-Time: The Physical Education/Health teacher is responsible for organizing innovative games and challenges that promote physical activity among all students at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic School from grades K-8.  The goal is to develop motor skills, physical development, proper exercise, and eating habits among all students.  The teacher must be knowledgeable about healthy life practices and use every day relevant situations to teach these practices, must be creative and resourceful in using school space and limited resources to provide physical activities, and be flexible and engaging as an instructor for students from multiple grade levels.
Responsibilities:
– Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students’ physical skills and abilities, strength, agility, poise, coordination, and teamwork; to develop students’ understanding of the importance of exercise to physical and mental well-being; and to motivate students to work towards, physical fitness, hygiene, and good health.
– The teacher must be knowledgeable about healthy life practices and use every day relevant situations to teach these practices, must be creative and resourceful in using school space and limited resources to provide physical activities, and be flexible and engaging as an instructor for students from multiple grade levels.
The teacher will be at school two days a week.  Good benefits.
