Mount St. Mary’s Seminary and School of Theology (MTSM) forms men and women to follow Christ faithfully and serve His mission by fulfilling their vocations in the Church.

Mount St. Mary’s is seeking a full-time Registrar and Director of Assessment who will be responsible for providing academic and administrative leadership, including enrolling students, scheduling courses, and planning and implementing academic policies. This individual will manage and maintain student records and will be responsible for administering the institution’s educational assessment program.


  • Maintain academic records of current and former students
  • Collaborate with communications/marketing to promote course offerings and degrees
  • Process registrations, transcript requests, and graduation applications
  • Perform degree audits and advise students as needed
  • Prepare tuition and fee invoices and process payments
  • Schedule courses and make classroom assignments
  • Serve as primary administrator and point of contact for institutional SIS/LMS
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state academic requirements
  • Update and publish annual Catalog
  • Serve as Accreditation Liaison Officer and ensure compliance
  • Review, update, and administer educational outcomes assessment program

Necessary Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, organizational leadership, management, or a related field; Master’s degree in higher education and/or student affairs preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a registrar’s office or related area.
  • Prior leadership experience and evidence of strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Exceptional skill in both written and oral communication.
  • Strong technical facility with computer software, including database applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding academic and financial records.

This is a fully on-campus position.

Working hours:           40 hours (M-F 8:00am – 4:30pm)
Salary:                         $55,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience, plus benefits
Start date:                   January 2022 (negotiable)
