Ursuline Academy is a private, college-preparatory Catholic high school for young women, committed to academic excellence, leadership development, and faith formation. The candidate needs to be qualified to teach 7-12 Spanish in the state of Ohio. The candidate must be confident in teaching and speaking higher level Spanish.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Spanish teacher who is committed to the holistic education of young women. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in the Spanish and a dedication to cultivating curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning within a faith-based educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Teach high school-level Spanish courses, including honors or AP sections if applicable
· Plan and deliver engaging, rigorous, and standards-based lessons that reflect best practices in science education
· Incorporate Catholic values and teachings into the curriculum where appropriate
· Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic excellence and respect
· Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
· Design and implement labs, demonstrations, and hands-on learning experiences
· Utilize formative assessment practices that guide instruction and lesson planning
· Assess and evaluate student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback
· Collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary initiatives and professional learning communities
· Uphold and model the mission and values of the school and the Catholic faith
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
· Valid teaching credential or certification in Spanish education
· Experience teaching Spanish at the high school level
· Commitment to Catholic education and the spiritual development of students
· Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
· Willingness to participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities
· Experience teaching in an all-girls or faith-based school environment
· Background in inquiry-based and project-based learning approaches
