Substitute English Teacher – First Semester (2026-2027 School Year)

Elder High School, a Catholic college-preparatory high school for young men in grades 9-12, is seeking a substitute English teacher for the first semester of the 2026-2027 school year (August 17–December 18, 2026).

Responsibilities

· Teach two sections of English I and three sections of English II.

· Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with course objectives.

· Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.

· Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.

· Collaborate with fellow faculty members and support the mission of the school.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree required.

· Background in English, Education, or a related field preferred.

· Prior teaching experience preferred but not required.

· Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

· Commitment to working with high school students in a Catholic educational environment.
