Technical Theatre Director

Part-Time

Mount Notre Dame High School is seeking a qualified and passionate individual for a part-time (show-based) Technical Theatre Director.  The Technical Theatre Director is one member of a four-person adult team for Mount Notre Dame Theatre.  The Technical Theatre Director is to oversee the education and teaching of Tech Theatre to the students. The Technical Director will manage the safety, design, construction, and operation of all technical elements for school productions.  The ideal candidate will have passion for working with students in this creative field as well as knowledge and experience in the field.  MND’s Christ-centered approach is rooted in the mission of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.  Catholic candidate preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and construct blueprints to guide technicians
• Teach principles of tech theatre to crew
• Oversee Tech Week Operations/Give Notes to Crew
• Educate crew members on the use of the sound board, light board, spotlights, etc.
• Provide leadership during Build Days, Tech Week, Performances, and Strike
• Stay current on all SafeParish and Pupil Activity Permits as required.  MND will assist you in obtaining these certifications.

Important Dates for MNDT’s First Show of the Season:

• Build days: Saturdays: 10:00am-4:00pm
• Tech Week: November 6^th-12^th
• Performances: November 13^th-15^th, 19^th-21^st
• Strike: November 22^nd
