Position Overview:
Roger Bacon High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Theology Teacher who will also serve as a Ministry Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for teaching theology courses and providing spiritual leadership through campus ministry initiatives. The ideal candidate will be committed to Catholic education, Franciscan spirituality, and student formation in faith.

Responsibilities:
Teaching Responsibilities:

·       Teach theology courses across various grade levels, integrating Catholic doctrine, scripture, and ethical teachings.

·       Create and implement engaging lesson plans that encourage critical thinking and faith development.

·       Assess and support student learning through various instructional strategies.

·       Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and interdisciplinary learning.

Ministry Responsibilities:

·       Support student faith formation by organizing retreats, service opportunities, and spiritual programs.

·       Work closely with the Campus Ministry team to foster a culture of service.

·       Provide spiritual guidance to students, faculty, and staff.

·       Engage students in leadership opportunities within the ministry program.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field.

·       Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.

·       Experience in teaching theology at the high school level preferred.

·       Strong understanding of Catholic doctrine, Franciscan values, and youth ministry.

·       Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

·       Passion for working with high school students and fostering spiritual growth.
