Grades 9-12: Theology Teachers/Full-Time & Part-Time: Mercy McAuley High School is seeking one full-time and one part-time dynamic Theology
teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The position is a part-time and/or full-time, benefit eligible, salaried, on-site position. This teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lessons, while following the curriculum, analyzing assessment data with the purpose of monitoring teaching strategies, integrating technology tools, and participating in Professional Learning Communities.

Accountability:  The Theology teacher reports to, is supervised and evaluated by the Principal.

Essential Functions:
▪ Implement curriculum that fosters spiritual growth and academic excellence.
▪ Encourage students to explore and deepen their faith while respecting diverse perspectives.
▪ Implement regular routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives.
▪ Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
▪ Attend all faculty/staff meetings as scheduled.
▪ Report any student injuries, illness, and serious and discipline problems to school administration.
▪ Perform other duties as directed by the school administration.

Required Education & Qualifications:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Theology and/or Education; master’s degree preferred.
▪ Proficient knowledge of content area and curriculum.
▪ Ohio teaching license.
▪ Completion of background check and Safe Parish training.
▪ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
▪ Demonstrate a strong commitment to Catholic education in an all-girls secondary environment.
▪ Support of the teachings of the Catholic church, Mercy values, and the mission and vision of Mercy McAuley High School.
▪ Be committed to the success of students.
▪ Demonstrate effective leadership, communication, and team management skills.
▪ Demonstrate excellent knowledge of athletic laws and regulations.
