DESCRIPTION:Valentina Gonzalez is the founder of Rooted Linguistics LLC and an international multilingual learner consultant working with educators across the nation to support multilingual learners and their families. Her personal experiences as an immigrant and second language learner fuel her passion for her work. \nThis session is designed to empower educators to more effectively meet the needs of English learners in their classrooms. Valentina will model practical\, research-based strategies that help teachers across grade levels maintain rigorous instruction and hold all students to high expectations\, while also providing English learners meaningful opportunities to engage with content-area language and excel in academic learning. DESCRIPTION:Curriculum/Assessment/GCS and Servants of Hope Introduction\nThe morning will focus on Standards Based Teaching and Learning\, the Graded Course of Study and the resources available to support teachers in the area of Curriculum and Assessment Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Luch will be provided. After lunch\, teachers will be given an introduction to the AOC’s Servants of Hope program. \nNew Teacher Orientation will be offered at 3 different locations to meet the needs of all schools in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
