This session is for paraprofessionals, instructional aides and bilingual aides who work with English learners (ELs) in the general education classroom. This one-hour online session will cover second language acquisition, scaffolds for ELs, explicit vocabulary instruction and the role of culture to prepare paraprofessionals to work effectively with English Learners. The session is free for ESCCO Title III Consortium members, $60 for districts who are members of the ESCCO and $65 for others. NOTE: Members of the ESCCO Title III EL Consortium should enter “EL_ESC” in the payment box to waive the registration fee. A link to the online session will be sent the morning of the session.
