Keeping our classroom and school libraries fresh and updated is important for
independent reading. In this session, we’ll review the work of Dr. Rudine Sims
Bishop and her work with mirrors and windows. We’ll think about ways to audit our
own collections and to fill the gaps in our classroom libraries, the books we use for
teaching, and our own reading.
