In this workshop, Pérsida Himmele and William Himmele will address what works in teaching English language learners, how to accelerate learning for students’ learning literacy and content in an additional language, and how to support colleagues in accelerating learning for ELLs.
Participants will walk away with a five-part framework for understanding how to design learning opportunities so that students grow content and language together, as well as practical strategies for accelerating growth with ELLs that can be implemented the very next day.
