Loose parts are open-ended, natural, and manufactured materials that can be manipulated with limitless possibilities. In this edWebinar, you will discover that a loose parts mindset:

  • Supports invention
  • Promotes imagination
  • Inspires innovation
  • Instills problem-solving skills
  • Builds confidence

How can we use this in our learning settings? During this edWebinar, we will explore the development and application of a loose parts mindset in our classrooms and schools.

While loose parts is a holistic approach, we will share examples applying the loose parts mindset to science, technology, reading and literacy, engineering, art, and math lessons. You will learn how loose parts create the opportunity to interact with and manipulate variables. Loose parts challenge children to think, build, learn, and create. Join us for a little loose parts play and imagine the possibilities for your setting!

This edWebinar will be geared toward K-3 teachers; however, the universal loose parts principles apply to school librarians, principals, district leaders, PreK, and upper elementary classes as well. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
