Alex Shevrin Venet is an educator, author, and professional development facilitator based in Vermont. She teaches at the Community College of Vermont, Antioch University New England, and Castleton University. Previously, she was a teacher and leader at an alternative therapeutic school. Rhiannon M. Kim (M.S., CCC-SLP, E-RYT 200, RYT 500) is a biracial racially ambiguous Korean and white woman. She has worked in public education for 15 years in various roles: para educator, interventionist, prek-5th grade speech language pathologist, and a preK-12 consulting SLP. She is in her third year of a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program focusing on healing-centered anti-oppressive trauma-responsive practices. Her healing-centered embodied anti-oppressive pedagogy invites people to engage in generative conflict, to navigate discomfort, and to embrace complexity.
