These one-hour virtual sessions take a deep dive into a specific topic. Each session will include an introduction to the topic, some connected readings, time for conversation and questions. Participants will leave with some new thinking and some resources to expand their thinking following the session. Note: Sessions are provided at no cost for member districts. The opportunity for continued individual conversation/coaching is available for a fee. Expanding Representation in Books/Auditing Your Library. Keeping our classroom and school libraries fresh and updated is important for independent reading. In this session, we’ll review the work of Dr. Rudine Sims Bishop and her work with mirrors and windows. We’ll think about ways to audit our own collections and to fill the gaps in our classroom libraries, the books we use for teaching, and our own reading. A zoom link will be emailed to registrants.
