Increasing Student Ownership

According to the extensive research of Dr. John Hattie, Student Ownership can more than double the impact of student learning. Did you know that student ownership can even be taught and provided  to students at the PK or K level?  Participants will examine the research, and develop ways to incorporate Student Ownership in their classroom by involving students in goal setting, tracking their own learning, and assessing their progress. 

Objectives:

• Examine the research and components of Student Ownership
• Create a plan to incorporate student ownership into their classroom
• Examine models and key practices of goal setting, tracking student learning, and student self- assessment
