Learning from Mistakes: Easier Said Than Done

March 29, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Some of our students’ most powerful learning comes from their mistakes, but are the choices we make as educators inadvertently shutting down the mistake-learning process in our classrooms?

In this webinar, educator Zak Cohen will introduce you to the Mistake Literacy framework — a learning acceleration framework that will guide you in creating a classroom space that leverages mistakes as a means of fostering a spirit of inclusivity, innovation, and bold engagement with learning.

Attendees will leave knowing:

  • how to apply the “recognize, react to, repair” protocol in the classroom,
  • what research tells us about how to optimize leaning from mistakes,
  • a set of instructional strategies and dispositions that contribute to safe and productive spaces for making mistakes, and
  • how to continue learning via the Mistake Literacy Professional Learning Playlist.

All attendees will receive verification of one-hour of professional learning time.
