About the Presenters
Albert Morton is a project manager on the service team with HMH. He has worked with large strategic accounts including East Baton Rouge, San Antonio ISD, Greenville SD, and currently Atlanta Public Schools. He has successfully partnered with all levels of leadership in these districts and facilitated the successful implementations of HMH intervention programs. His entire teaching career has been dedicated to working with the most challenging students in the school and investing in them the tools and knowledge needed to be successful within and outside of the classroom. Albert holds a BA in marketing and a certification in middle school language arts. He is a master speaker certified in transforming school cultures and holds a professional certification in life coaching. This diverse background has equipped him to successfully merge multiple passions to support, design, and create impactful change in education, business, and his community at large.
Dr. Lisa Corbin, an instruction and leadership coach with the International Center for Leadership in Education, has been in the education field for over 26 years. Her experience includes classroom teaching in elementary and middle schools, serving as a K-12 instructional specialist, terms as an elementary school assistant principal and principal, and various leadership roles at the district level in a large urban district. She has written grants, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, developed curricula, and supported teachers and administrators in standards implementation, data analysis and accountability. Dr. Corbin resides in Chesapeake, Virginia. She is an active volunteer in her community and she enjoys reading, writing short stories, and traveling with her family.
About the Moderator
Laura Spear is a product marketing director at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, supporting educators with award-winning professional learning. She has over 20 years of experience in marketing and product development focused on learning and professional development solutions. Laura is a former senior product developer at Pearson K12 Assessments managing the Alan S. and Nadine Kaufman Intelligence Assessments and Keymath. Laura lives in Florida where she enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family.
