Teacher Clarity

According to the extensive research of Dr. John Hattie, Teacher Clarity can have a powerful impact on student learning and student ownership and has benefits for teachers, students, and parents.  This session will unpack teacher clarity, showing participants how to craft and unpack learning targets/intentions and success criteria to leverage student learning and engagement. 

Objectives:

• Examine Hattie’s research regarding Teacher Clarity and its effect on student achievement and learning. 
• Explore ways to craft and use learning targets and success criteria to increase student ownership and learning
• Leverage learning targets and success criteria to positively impact assessment and student self- assessment/ reflection.
