The New K–2 Report Card: Tools, Resources, and Implementation
This session is designed to prepare principals and school leaders to successfully implement the new K–2 Standards-Referenced Report Card option. Leaders will also be introduced to the extensive collection of resources developed to support implementation, including proficiency scales, instructional planning guides, curriculum maps, common assessments, standards mastery questions, learning standards checklists, and other tools designed for leaders, teachers, and families. By the end of the session, principals will have a clear understanding of how to use these resources to support high-quality instruction, monitor student progress, and ensure students master the essential grade-level expectations before advancing to the next grade.
PM Assessment Focus 12:30-3:00pm
Your Data Has a Story: Understanding Your School Through Demographic, Perception & Process Data
Numbers alone rarely tell the whole story. This session explores how demographic, perception, and school process data help leaders understand the context behind student outcomes. Participants will learn how enrollment trends, attendance, stakeholder feedback, instructional practices, and organizational systems influence school performance. Using guided protocols, leaders will begin identifying patterns and asking better questions that move beyond assumptions toward root cause analysis.
