Technology Manager

The Athenaeum of Ohio/Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) is seeking a proven technology professional with strong communication skills to fill the key role of Technology Manager. This is a hands-on, full-time salaried position with excellent benefits.

Responsibilities

Manage the day-today technology needs of MTSM, including providing support for Windows and Mac workstations, printers, copiers, scanners, phone system, security systems, AV equipment, and Smart Classroom equipment.

Serve as a liaison with the contracted network/infrastructure provider and other technology vendors.

Work closely with the VP of Finance and other department heads to plan for the technology needs of MTSM.

Maintain a budget for needed supplies, replacement parts, software, and third-party services such as website hosting, online backups, internet connectivity, and phone service.

Provide support to the HR department in onboarding and offboarding processes.

Document systems and maintain inventory and service history of technology equipment.

Perform other responsibilities consistent with the position as assigned or requested by the leadership team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience managing technology devices and supporting end users.

Strong knowledge of networking, Microsoft Windows, Office 365, computer equipment, and peripheral technology devices.

Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology is looking to immediately hire a full-time cook to join our dietary team. The position comes with great pay and benefits as well as a vibrant and respectful working environment. The primary function of this role is to prepare meals–including hot and cold food items as well as desserts–for our residents, students, staff, and outside events. The Vice President of Finance and Administration reports directly to the President/Rector and is responsible for the oversight and management of administrative operations and facilities of MTSM. Specific responsibilities include all activities related to human resources, finance and accounting, and managing the administrative, maintenance, and dietary staffs of the institution. Candidate must be able to lead in a way so as to build a collaborative team for the administrative operations of MTSM. This position is also responsible for the management of construction and remodeling projects on the campus.

Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) is the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s graduate-level Catholic Seminary and School of Theology. Founded in 1829, MTSM provides preparation for ordination to the priesthood and permanent diaconate as part of Mount St. Mary’s Seminary. In addition, our School of Theology offers classes for graduate and certification programs for laity, clergy and religious. MTSM is a growing, vibrant organization with more than 80 seminarians from six different dioceses with many more men and women working towards graduate degrees and certificates.

We seek a highly-skilled communications professional to lead the flow of information between MTSM’s Advancement Office and the public. The Communications & Marketing Specialist must be a technically savvy problem solver who plans and executes marketing strategies for Development & Alumni Relations; writes and designs a variety of print and other materials; and manages the organization’s website and social media presence. The position reports to the Vice President for Development and Relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement the Advancement Office’s marketing and communications strategy.
  • Write & design promotional materials for print and digital dissemination.
  • Create and direct the organization’s social media and online presence.
  • Write, edit, design and in some cases publish content for both print and digital including the organization’s website, brochures and other materials.
  • Manage and direct the work of creative talent as needed.
  • Assist in the planning, executing and marketing of all events.
  • Serve as an evangelist for the mission utilizing all communications channels.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Journalism.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing or communications position, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Experience planning and managing social media accounts and website digital presence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Commitment to the mission and message of the Catholic Church and the ability to communicate it clearly and effectively.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
