St. Ann Parish, Cincinnati is seeking applicants for a Communications Coordinator. Responsibilities include maintaining positive parish presence on a variety of social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter, write content for parish website pages and blog, manage FlockNote / Evangelus messaging platform, coordinate meetings and presentations as needed, and assist with executing parish events. This is a full-time position with flexible hours dependent on the parish needs.

Qualifications:

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks with little supervision
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Publisher
  • Conversational Spanish is a plus.

St. Brigid Catholic Church in Xenia seeks to hire a full-time Business Manager.  The Business Manager manages the financial, administrative, personnel and maintenance needs for the parish and school.  Maintains accuracy of all financial files and records, and establishes a responsible cash flow management system.  Assists Pastor in hiring staff and responsible for progressive discipline, and recommending termination when necessary.   Supervises parish secretary, clerical aides, financial staff and maintenance staff.  Consults with and advises Pastor and Principal on business and administrative matters that affect the parish and school.

The position includes full health and retirement benefits.  Candidates must have Excel® experience, proficient keyboarding skills, ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters, and the ability to relate to a variety of persons.  Familiarity with Parish Soft software is a plus.  This position requires frequent evenings and/or weekend work and an unpredictable schedule.  Candidates will receive initial support from an experienced Business Manager for on-the-job training.

St. Michael Catholic Parish and School is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Communications.

The Director of Communications is responsible for the parish’s overall strategic plan for internal and external communications.  The Director will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of parish and school communication via email, social media (Facebook and Instagram primarily), parish app, bulletin, and newsletter.   Particular attention will be necessary to the implementation of our Family of Parishes over the next several years; collaboration will be necessary with the staff of the other parish(es).  The Director will work with our parish and school staff to create an effective overall presentation of the Gospel message in a way that will help draw the faithful and others into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Friendly, outgoing individual needed for part-time (two weeknights and one weekend day) receptionist/secretarial position in the Parish Office. Duties include operation of multi-line phone system, administrative support for the Parish Office operations, record keeping, and computer data entry. Ideal candidate will be a multi-tasker and self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well with others. Candidates must have Microsoft skills, proficient keyboarding skills, ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters, ability to relate to a variety of persons, and knowledge of the Catholic faith. Having familiarity with PDS software a plus. 13-14 hours a week.

St. Joseph Church, in downtown Dayton, has a job opening for a part-time maintenance person.

The position is for general maintenance and upkeep of the parish buildings and grounds, 15 to 20 hours a week.  Some electrical, plumbing and HVAC skills required.

St. Vivian Church, in Finneytown, is accepting applications for the position of maintenance worker.  This is a full-time position, handling the custodial/maintenance needs of our parish and school. Candidate must be self-motivated, good with the public, and detail-oriented. Hours are 9:30 am – 6:00 pm on school days and 7:30 am – 4:00 pm when school is not in session.  Duties include cleaning, floors, light maintenance, grounds keeping, snow removal, etc. The candidate must be capable of lifting heavy objects and handling stairs. Employment is contingent upon meeting all background checks and SafeParish requirements.
