St. Veronica School is seeking a part-time Cook.

The cook provides meals for the school. This position is part-time; working less than 20 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This position does not include medical or dental insurance and reports to the Cafeteria Manager.

Responsibilities and Regular Activities:

  • Carves portions of meat, fish and fowl for individual servings using the accepted guidelines;
  • Prepares salads, desserts, fruits and vegetables;
  • Provides cooking services for lunches at the school;
  • Provides special meals when requested;
  • Cleans up kitchen after meals and washes dishes.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Cook a variety of meals;
  • Present pleasant welcoming manner;
  • Thorough knowledge of cooking and cleaning kitchen;
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Must be Serve Safe Certified or attend the class and pass the test;
  • High School diploma is preferred with formal training in the food service field and/or nutrition and dietetic training are highly desirable;
  • Knowledge of state and local regulations;
  • Work experience in food service in a facility of comparable size.

Work Environment:

  • School Cafeteria – may involve working with equipment and machinery including heating, cooling, slicing;
  • May be exposed to a variety of cleaning chemicals.

St. Veronica Catholic School in Mt. Carmel, Ohio, is seeking a cafeteria monitor for the 21-22 school year.

This is a 10-month part-time position that works Monday through Friday and under 20 hours per week. This candidate will have to undergo background screening and teacher aide license. The position reports to the school cafeteria manager. The essential duties of the job are to monitor students’ non-classroom activities during lunch and maintains a safe educational environment. The successful candidate will also be able to mediate student disputes or inappropriate behavior and refer students to school administrators as necessary.

St. Catharine of Siena is seeking a part-time Parish Bookkeeper

Position Description: 

The Parish Bookkeeper reports directly to the Parish Business Manager.  Key duties include the recording and payment of organization bills, maintaining key school and church records, posting of student tuition records and other administrative tasks.  The Parish Bookkeeper provides assistance and backup for the Parish Business Manager in processing bi-weekly payrolls.  This position is part of the Parish Staff and participates in staff meetings and events as needed.

Qualifications:

The selected individual will be detail oriented and have good organization skills.  Strong computer skills, with proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word, are essential.  Prior experience with Parish Data Systems (PDS) or Gabriel is a plus.   The ability to maintain confidentiality when handling highly sensitive material is required.  Lastly, a general understanding of Parish Catholic culture and Parish operations would be a plus.

This position will require approximately 10-15 hours per week.  We offer some flexibility in days / hours worked to fulfill this requirement.

St. Michael Catholic Parish and School is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Communications.

The Director of Communications is responsible for the parish’s overall strategic plan for internal and external communications.  The Director will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of parish and school communication via email, social media (Facebook and Instagram primarily), parish app, bulletin, and newsletter.   Particular attention will be necessary to the implementation of our Family of Parishes over the next several years; collaboration will be necessary with the staff of the other parish(es).  The Director will work with our parish and school staff to create an effective overall presentation of the Gospel message in a way that will help draw the faithful and others into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

This newly created regional position will serve the up-and-coming Uptown Catholic Region in Clifton (St. Monica – St. George Parish, Annunciation Parish & School, Holy Name Parish, Corryville Catholic Grade School, and the University of Cincinnati Newman Center).  This individual will be responsible for overseeing a unified religious education program at all the parishes and coordinating with the parish schools concerning Catholic education.  The responsibilities would include crafting an overall strategy for adult formation, which would include family formation for children, managing catechists, sharing responsibility for RCIA, overseeing sacramental preparation for the unified program, and collaborating with the college campus ministry and grade schools (as needed).

The requirements are a theology degree from a Catholic University, 5+ years of experience as a Director of Religious Education, and experience in the evangelization of young adults.
