The Our Lady of Light Family of Parishes, which includes the Church of the Incarnation and St. Francis campuses, is seeking a Director of Stewardship & Development. This isa full-time salaried position and reports to the Pastor.

Those interested in this position will be responsible for both stewardship and development responsibilities for the parish family. This position is two-fold in its responsibility to Our Lady of Light. The stewardship elements of the position are rooted in the teaching that all we are and have in life is a gift from God. The Director of Stewardship strives to develop a parish (church and school) culture that recognizes stewardship as a way of life. This position provides vision and leadership to successfully implement a comprehensive stewardship plan that focuses on formation and promotion of the spirituality of stewardship and stewardship-related initiatives, inviting parishioners to share their gifts of time, talent, and treasure within the parish and overall life of the Church.

The development aspects of this position involve responsibility for planning and executing a comprehensive development program for the entire parish family and school. The Director provides direction and guidance to school and parish communities in the goals of the Development programs for Our Lady of Light Family of Parishes. This role involves organizing large-scale development initiatives, working with parish members, developing the school annual fund and building relationships with donors, staff and volunteers. The development director will also implement major giving and planned giving strategies.

The Coordinator of Junior High School Youth Ministry reports to the Director of Evangelization and is a key member of the Evangelization Team. The Coordinator has responsibility for all efforts of accompanying youth, grades 6-8, (and their families) through the Process of Evangelization and Discipleship, so that youth encounter Christ, are known, seen, and loved, and become missionary disciples.

Qualifications:

  • Shall possess current certification as a Catechist from a Roman Catholic diocese and have at least two years of classroom experience as a catechist in a Parish School of Religion (PSR).
  • Shall have a Master’s degree in Education, teaching, or similar.
  • Shall be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Shall furnish a resume including academic and religious education work related experience along with at least two letters professional reference (no relatives). Must be able to receive clearance from a background investigation.
  • Shall be able to work successfully within the pluralistic environment of the Air Force Chaplain Corps.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Parish School of Religion (PSR) Funds and Facility Requests in accordance with Air Force and Chaplain Corps policy and directives, and submit requests to the Director of Faith Formation.
  • Schedule and facilitate PSR Staff Meetings, attend meetings as required.
  • Ensure evaluation of catechists is conducted either personally or through grade-level coordinators.
  • Ensure that at least one (1) youth formation or activity is offered every month.
  • Plan and execute annual registration of PSR students.
  • Recruit, train, nurture, and lead volunteer staff.

Workload: Approximately 20 hours per week (may vary depending on program activities).  Pay Rate: $2,000/month

St. Gabriel Archangel, Family of Parishes is currently seeking a bilingual Administrative Assistant to support the Pastor and Hispanic Parochial Vicar at both St. Peter’s and Our Lady of the Rosary Churches.  Candidates must be bilingual in Spanish and English as well as be able to read and write in both languages.  Part-Time 20 hours/week.

Qualifications

  • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak both languages, and be familiar with each culture.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva.
  • Must be reliable, dependable, honest, and have discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong communication and public relations skills.
  • Twenty (20) hours per week as a receptionist/secretary in a faith-based organization co-supervised by the Pastor and the Hispanic Parochial Vicar
  • Available to work afternoon and evening schedule according to the Hispanic Community needs, including weekends.
  • Time management.
  • High School Diploma.
  • A Catholic in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pastor and the Hispanic Parochial Vicar as requested.
  • Manage communications for Spanish speaking parishioners.
  • Draft, review, and mail correspondence for the Hispanic Parochial Vicar.
  • Maintain Hispanic church calendar of the Hispanic activities.
  • Answer Spanish phone calls as needed.
  • Maintain the Hispanic church membership information.
  • Creates and maintains an orderly file of documents, activities, and events of the Hispanic Community.
  • Give information of Sacraments and collect the documents.
  • Register the Hispanics to St Gabriel Family of Parishes.
  • Keep a current listing of Hispanic volunteers.
  • Attend weekly the meetings with the Hispanic Parochial Vicar.
  • A Catholic in good standing.
  • Assist with newsletter as needed.
  • Make copies as needed.
  • Translate the Pastor articles into Spanish for the bulletin.
  • Translate and interpreting from English into Spanish or from Spanish into English what the Hispanic Parochial Vicar may ask.
  • Receive Mass intentions and register them at the office.
  • Follow up the Hispanic activities which must be published on the Bulletin.
  • Other duties as determined by the Pastor and the Hispanic Parochial Vicar.

The Youth Minister will guide Our Lady of Fatima Family of Parishes’ high school and junior high youth through comprehensive Catholic youth ministry, including Confirmation formation, with the mission being to bring more souls to Christ through the formation of missionary disciples. This position reports to the Executive Director of Pastoral Services. S/he will serve as a collaborative member of the parish team.
