JOB SUMMARY:
Designs, executes, and monitors communication strategies through a wide range of media. The Coordinator of Communications will work with parish staff to create an effective overall presentation of the Gospel message in a way that helps draw the faithful into a deepened relationship with Christ.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, EXPECTATIONS:
- Must possess interpersonal skills and be a proficient oral and written communicator.
- Must be able to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Must be able to adapt to changing work priorities; and to understand and follow instruction.
- Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, efficiency, and confidentiality as well as organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing time sensitive messaging.
- Familiarity with Mac computers is preferred.
- Knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Word, Excel, Publisher, Google, photo and video editing and other programs as needed.
- Willingness to learn new software and programs and to stay current on existing and new social media.
- Upon request help create flyers, presentations and other media for Staff and Ministries.
- Experience in ministry, as well as theological training preferred.
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary assigned by the Pastor.
