The Diocese of Covington Curia invites Catholics with significant ministry training and experience to consider putting their leadership skills into service to the Church by submitting their candidacy for the new position of Secretary for Pastoral Ministry. A Diocesan reconfiguration of responsibility areas will position this individual to organize and lead the diocesan focus on the broad areas of evangelization, faith formation, and catechesis while simultaneously providing vision, planning, and direction for the overall Secretariat by representing the Bishop and taking the leadership role in monitoring the work of its other ministries. Key responsibilities of the Secretary will include partnering with our P-12 schools, to drive and maintain greater Catholic identity; with our own Thomas More University, to deliver first-class, in-person faith formation across the diocese; and with diocesan parishes and Directors/Coordinators of Religious Education, to establish an advisory board to oversee the programs and then to lead this network. The Secretary will also manage the overall delivery and evaluation aspects of virtual faith formation through our Catechetical Institute, in partnership with the Franciscan University of Steubenville. Our minimum requirements for candidates include: completion of appropriate formal education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; prior Church ministry experience with a proven ability to both constructively supervise and work collaboratively with others; a solid, experiential understanding of hierarchy and structures in the Catholic Church; creativity and innovation; visionary strategic thinking; and an empathetic approach.

The Diocese of Covington is seeking an individual with the necessary professional training and background in finance and accounting to assume the role of Controller within the Diocesan Finance Office. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and has a broad responsibility to produce accurate financial information for Diocesan offices, officials, and entities, and to monitor financial controls that safeguard assets of the Diocese. Specific major duties include reconciliations, limited internal auditing, invoicing, supervision of cash disbursements and receipts, tax reporting forms, workers compensation, preparation of financial statements, preparation of work papers for annual audit, closing of the fiscal accounting year, supervision of accounting staff, verifications, and general accounting and software assistance. Candidate requirements include advanced training in accountancy (a CPA license is preferred) with at least five years of previous experience as an Assistant Controller or Controller, strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and precision in written and oral communications.

Candidates must be Catholic in good standing with the Church.

Stella Maris Family of Parishes is actively seeking a Coordinator of Youth Ministry.  The Coordinator of Youth Ministry will be responsible for offering leadership and discipleship programming in each of the parochial schools that are part of Stella Maris. The Coordinator will also recruit and form adult and high school volunteers as a team of missionary disciples who will carry out the IGNITE Confirmation Formation program. Finally, the Coordinator will develop and execute content, curriculum, and programs for jr. high and high school teens.

The Stella Maris Family is seeking candidates for the position of Coordinator of Family Evangelization.  The Coordinator of Family Evangelization is responsible for coordinating the outreach and formation offerings for families with children in grades K–8 at Stella Maris. The Coordinator will develop a Family Evangelization Core Team that will meet families where they are and accompany them on a discipleship pathway. The Coordinator will also develop Christ-centered, family-oriented formation content, and will organize and implement all necessary programming to help whole families encounter Christ.
