Due to an upcoming retirement, the Diocese of Covington is seeking a full-time ad salesperson for its official newspaper, the Messenger, beginning in May. The successful candidate will be a practicing, knowledgeable Roman Catholic who will be an excellent representative of the newspaper and of the diocese, and who will be ready to embrace our Mission:

  • To share the Gospel message of salvation as an instrument of evangelization;
  • To present and explain Church teaching in a positive and empathetic way;
  • To promote mutual understanding and unity in the diocese;
  • To foster and support all forms of Christian family life;
  • To share the personal faith experiences of the Catholic community;
  • To report on the development and growth of Catholic faith formation; and
  • To be a source of Catholic information and inspiration.

Desired qualifications include: some previous sales experience; comfort with working in a team environment; attention to detail; and active and energetic service to existing customers, as well as expanding sales to new customers.

The Diocese of Covington invites qualified Catholic candidates to apply for a full time Curia staff opportunity. We seek a creative individual who excels at communicating compelling content to diverse audiences in a variety of formats. The Digital Content and Multi-Media Specialist will provide dynamic content for all diocesan media channels, digital, print, and otherwise. This individual will constantly develop, create, pursue, and acquire interesting and engaging content in support of diocesan mission priorities, for distribution via multiple communication formats, including, but not limited to, diocesan social media, email, video and audio, and the weekly print newspaper, the Messenger. Our ideal candidate will have strong, practical experience with digital media in general, social media, digital marketing, videography, content development and management, and cross-platform optimization. We prefer at least a (non-specific) undergraduate degree, and previous successful work experience in communications. Strong writing skills are a must, and an understanding of the law as it applies to intellectual property and media in general would be helpful. In addition to regular weekday office hours, evening and weekend assignments may occur regularly.

St. Henry Catholic School located in Elsmere, KY, is seeking a new principal to begin July 1, 2023. Since 1893, St. Henry Parish has been educating children in the Catholic faith and academics through its largest ministry, St. Henry Catholic School.

Blessed Sacrament Parish, in Ft. Mitchell, KY, seeks a full-time music director to begin on June 12. Candidates should be well versed in vocal/choral music, and proficient in organ and piano accompaniment. The parish has a Kilgen Pipe organ which recently underwent restorative work, as well as concert quality pianos. The music director will be responsible for planning and preparing music for three weekend liturgies, two school liturgies, directing an adult choir, two children’s choirs, a string ensemble and a Handbell choir. Opportunities for additional compensation come from wedding and funeral stipends. Knowledge of music notation software and publishing software (Microsoft Publisher or Adobe) are important.
