Prince of Peace Catholic Church and K-12 Schools, located in Madison, Indiana, is seeking a full-time Director of Music/Music Teacher.

This person would be responsible for the Director of Music for Prince of Peace Church and will lead all liturgical and devotional music for the parish and various special events. They will also teach music a few hours per week at Prince of Peace Schools, preparing students in liturgical and sacred music for Mass and other sacred events.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, accompanying (piano and organ preferred) and leading music for all Solemnity Masses, including Weekend Masses, Holy Days, and various special Masses hosted throughout the year.
  • Preparing, accompanying, and leading music for special devotional prayer, including Adoration, Stations of the Cross, processions and special devotional worship.
  • Recruiting, growing, teaching, and leading volunteer choirs and cantors.
  • Preparing and leading music for parishioners’ weddings and funerals.
  • Preparing lessons and teaching K-12 sacred music, a few classes per week.

The Development Director is responsible for cultivating, stewarding, and expanding financial support for the Pregnancy Center. This role focuses on donor relations, monthly donor growth, grant management, and communication strategies in partnership with our fractional marketing company. Event logistics are handled by a contract event coordinator, allowing the Development Director to concentrate on donor development and fundraising strategy.
