  1. JOB DESCRIPTION/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

St. Bernadette Pre-School is seeking a part-time teacher’s aide.  Early childhood experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Duties include (under the supervision of the lead teacher):  providing instruction to students, assisting with activities, set up and clean-up of learning materials, toys, activity centers, supervising children during playtime, both indoor and outdoor.

Preschool aides support the children and are responsible for helping with the day-to-day tasks.  They must be dependable, and work well with others.

We are a quality-rated school, therefore all Step Up to Quality requirements must be met. Aides must also be Safe Parish trained, have a background check and fingerprinting prior to the start of work.

III. WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Working hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the afternoon, 12 hours total.

Xavier University’s St. Peter Faber Academy is seeking applications for an experienced and self-motivated Primary Teacher to teach grades 1-2. Job Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality instruction in core subjects, using developmentally appropriate and differentiated strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Design and implement hands-on, inquiry-based, and collaborative learning experiences, integrating technology and creative approaches to enhance learning.
  • Foster students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth within a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students to support confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching primary/early elementary grades
  • Strong understanding of early literacy and child development
  • Excellent classroom management, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
