The Uptown Family of Parishes (St. Monica/St. George, Annunciation and Holy Name Parishes, the UC Newman Center, Annunciation School and Corryville Catholic School) has a job opening for a full-time Business Manager.

The Business Manager oversees the business operations of the parishes, schools, and Newman Center. Additionally, the Business Manager will be instrumental in the Beacons of Light efforts over the next several years.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing 2 – 3 direct reports
  • Overseeing the Finances (including Budget Preparation, Cash Management, AP/AR, Payroll, Accounting, Deposits, and Financial Reporting)
  • Collaborating with the Facilities Manager
  • Overseeing Risk Management
  • Collaborating with the Pastor on creating the budget that is in line with the Pastor’s vision
  • Providing leadership in continuously improving the organization and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Managing all employees on SafeParish (our safe environment management resource)

 

Necessary Skills:

  • Good communication skills – both in writing and speaking
  • Collaborative approach to all interactions – great team player
  • High level of organization and the ability to manage multiple sites
  • HR skills, including managing employee information on certain platforms MyEnroll, Paylocity, and Empower Retirement
  • Good computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office as well as a preferred familiarity with ParishSoft, Gabriel Software, and Bloomerang (Paylocity)
  • A professional approach to office management with experience in creating a professional office (updating and creating Employee Handbook, Policies, monthly 1-1’s, providing and receiving feedback, etc.)
  • A thorough understanding of GAAP, Payroll, and Accounting
  • An ability to analyze financial reports and provide this analysis with recommendations for next steps – including cost savings and long term plans
  • Must be able to pass a background check and be willing to complete the Safe Parish training and requirements.
  • Must be willing to work for a Catholic organization.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting, Business or other similar areas

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years as the leader of an office or organization
  • 3 – 5 years in accounting/business manager role
  • 3 – 5 years of managing people – direct reports

  • Holds a Bachelors or Masters college degree and holds (or is eligible for) an Indiana elementary supervision and administration license.

A Full Time Pastoral Associate/ Administrative Assistant is needed for St. Joseph/St. Raphael/ St. Charles parishes in Springfield, OH.

Primary duties include:

  • Managing and posting to various social media formats including Facebook and the parish website
  • Preparing and editing the weekly parish bulletin
  • Assisting other pastoral staff with various parish programs including our Vacation Bible School, CCD, and RCIA
  • Coordinating volunteers for decorating the church, arranging flowers, and other activities
  • Entering and editing donations and other parishioner information into our database

The Program Manager assists the Administrator in carrying out the program’s mission by overseeing the execution of program activities. The Program Manager will also supervise the administrative assistant, assist with web content, function as event meeting planner, and maintain office functions when Administrator is traveling.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Theology, Education, Business Administration, Organizational
Leadership, or similar field; have 2-4 years’ work experience, and be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the church. Bi-lingual (Spanish), experience with social media platforms, and basic understanding of Catholic Young Adult Ministry and Church structure are desirable.
