The Administrator is responsible for overseeing all activities and functions of the program which aims to serve people 23-29 years old through this parish-based program. Saint Noel Parish, a vibrant Catholic church in the Diocese of Cleveland with about 1,500 active households, is seeking a full time Director of Music Ministry.

Founded in 1980, the parish has enjoyed a long tradition of quality music and liturgy. Weekend liturgies are celebrated on Saturday (Vigil) at 5:00 PM, and on Sunday, at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Instruments in use are a Steinway & Sons Model B piano and Allen digital organ.

MINISTERIAL ROLE:   

This is a full-time position. The individual would be a member of the pastoral staff, expected to be present for staff meetings (about twice a month), as well as foster a presence with availability to the wider parish community. Accessibility is expected for wedding and funeral celebrations, assisting couples and families with planning. This position demands a flexible team player with good organizational skills and an ability to minister well with diverse personalities.

EDUCATION:              

Bachelor’s Degree (minimum). Demonstrable keyboard and vocal skills are required. Previous experience in music and pastoral ministry is preferred. Excellent knowledge of Catholic liturgy, and a willingness to further one’s education and learning is appreciated.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide music, plan, rehearse, and prepare cantors, instrumentalists, and choirs for liturgies (including national holidays, e., Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, etc.).
  • Knowledge of computer music programs and desktop publishing with an ability to prepare/edit worship aids is helpful (i.e., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, and/or Adobe In- Design, ).

Executive Summary

Reporting to the VP of Advancement, the Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the database. This position provides support to the Advancement Team and the Business Operations team by assisting with the creation of timely and accurate reports; developing and implementing policies to guide gift acceptance; developing and implementing policies for data entry, and ensuring that the database effectively captures constituent and donor information and generates accurate financial and analytical reports.

Selected Duties

  • Plan and implement the consistent, accurate and timely processing and accounting of gifts
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures that ensure the integrity of all donor data in the Raiser’s Edge software system and other data support systems for constituents and donors
  • Add new alumni and perform biographical data updates for existing alumni
  • Research lost alumni and investigate new alumni information based on returned mailings, email refusals, phone disconnections and other data sources
  • Make all updates from students to alumni status, add new parents and students to the database annually
  • Provide support for Advancement officers and respond to donor inquiries
  • Provide accurate reporting and regular reconciliation with the Business Operations team
  • Establish and maintain donor acknowledgement services for timely reporting on gifts
  • Develop constituent mailing lists for regular mailings (direct mail, Annual Report, Moeller Magazine, etc.)
  • Oversees the creation of the donor honor roll for the Annual Report
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP for Advancement

Qualifications

Extensive Blackbaud and/or Raiser’s Edge experience strongly preferred. Accounting experience a plus. Prior experience in institutional advancement and/or a school setting preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred. In addition, the Coordinator should: be a team player with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and possess strong problem solving skills; possess strong IT and  data entry skills; prefer working in a fast-paced environment; have the ability to organize and prioritize projects and workflow; and a desire to support the Mission of Moeller High School.

Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
