The Director of Music Ministry is responsible for:

  • Planning and leading the congregation at the two English weekend liturgies and all holy days.
  • Responsible for planning and leading the music for all special English or bi-lingual sacramental liturgies including weddings and funerals.
  • Directing the choir and cantors to prepare for the weekend liturgies.
  • Review music submitted by our Hispanic musicians for the Spanish Masses
  • If Music Director doesn’t play the piano or organ, they are responsible for regularly scheduling someone who does.
  • Ensuring the instrumental and sound equipment is maintained.

A strong candidate will have strong vocal skills. Must be a practicing Catholic with liturgical knowledge. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Must be able to pass a background check and be within compliance with the Decree on Child Protect prior to start of employment.

Under the supervision of the Business Manager, performs grounds-keeping, light duty maintenance and custodial duties in the efficient operation of St. Michael Parish. Areas included are the Church building, the Religious Education building (St. Mike’s Place), the rectory building and the campus surrounding. Areas not included are St. Michael Hall and the area surrounding the hall.

This is a part-time (25 hours) position as Administrative Assistant/bookkeeper in North Fairmount. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am – 3pm.

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for ensuring that the daily administrative tasks, record keeping, bookkeeping and handling of money. The successful candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, a pleasant and friendly demeanor, the ability to multi task, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, have strong computer skills, and able to operate standard office equipment. IHM Parish is seeking a dynamic candidate to oversee the Sacrament of Confirmation Program.
The successful candidate will help youth to encounter Christ, strengthen their personal
relationship with Jesus through the treasures of the Catholic Faith and to guide them to become
missionary disciples. This position is part time (up to 20 hours a week), reports to the Pastoral
Associate for Evangelization and Catechesis, and will require some weekday office hours and some
evening and weekend work.

The Coordinator of Confirmation will develop strong adult leadership teams, foster relationships,
build up the domestic Church, and strategize new ways to engage not just youth but the entire
family through the Confirmation Process. A Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious
Studies, Theology, Religious Education or related field is preferred, at least 2 years’ experience
with Middle School aged youth preferred, and fluency in Spanish is a real plus!

The Catholic Newman Center at Miami University in Oxford, OH is seeking a part-time (13 hours per week) Music Minister.

The Music Minister is responsible for providing liturgical music for Masses and prayer services on Sundays and occasionally weekdays during the academic year. The Music Minister is also responsible for recruiting student music ministers/cantors and leading their rehearsals.

This position requires dedication to and appreciation of the nature and mission of the Catholic Newman Center. The Music Minister will need to take the time necessary to get to know students. From the student and University perspective, the person filling this position is a full-fledged member of the Catholic Newman Center staff, so it will be imperative for him or her to act in a manner consistent with that view.

The Music Minister is expected to collaborate closely and congenially with the entire staff of the Catholic Newman Center, as well as other constituents. The Music Minister must be a model of professional conduct and always represent The Catholic Newman Center and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati with honesty and integrity.
